Inspection to the letter of the regulations
We electrically inspect street furniture including street lighting columns, feeder pillars and electric vehicle chargers.
Every inspection is carried out for compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, in accordance with BS7671:2018 and associated Guidance Notes 1 to 8.
Top to toe. Above and below ground.
Our structural inspection assesses every lighting column, above and below ground, for any risk of structural collapse.
We own the dipstik® technology, recognised as a non-destructive test method in the Institution of Lighting Professionals GN22 Guidance Notes. It helps asset owners meet their legal responsibilities for safely maintaining highway electrical assets.
Specialist skills, hi-tech equipment
BSEN40
A structural design analysis that shows whether your columns can safely take an attachment. Combined with our patented dipstik® assessment, a detailed calculation identifies column strength and prevents collapse from overload.
Essential for hanging baskets, festive lights, directional signs, promotional banners, CCTV and WiFi units.
Cable route tracing
Detailed, accurate underground cable route tracing plotted onto electronic background maps. Using GPS, offsets and electronic measurement we locate the actual route of a cable and its precise depth.
Inventory data collection
A complete inventory survey of your electrical highway assets, to DfT or Well Lit Highway standards or a bespoke specification. Data is supplied ready to upload into leading Highway Lighting Management Systems including Mayrise and Confirm.
